The Mansfield Memorial Library was named in honor of Joseph Jefferson Mansfield, who provided the land for the building and its initial collection.  This building served as the Columbus library for 30 years from March 2, 1948 to March 18, 1979.  No longer the municipal library, the Mansfield Building is now used as a community meeting facility by numerous groups.  The Mansfield Building is located at 930 Travis Street.
