The Confederate Memorial Hall (pictured above) was originally built by the City of Columbus as a water tower and the Columbus Fire Station.  The water tank was removed from atop the tower and the interior remodeled into a museum that continues to operate today.  The Colorado County Courthouse can be seen behind the tower.  (circa 1930)
