The Columbus Community Industrial Development Corporation (CCIDC) administers the City of Columbus’ half-cent 4-B sales tax revenues – approved by voters in 1995 – for economic and community development. Eligible activities for receipt of these funds are outlined in the proposition section of City Ordinance No. 12-95. The Corporation manages the Texas Crossroads Business Park and administers a community grants program. The Corporation is managed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Columbus City Council. Texas Crossroads Business Park is presently home to Great Southern Wood Preserving, a lumber pressure treating facility with 3-acres under roof on a total of 40 acres. This company is an active user of the Park’s rail spur and road system.


In 2011, KW International, an oil and gas fabricating company acquired 51.64 acres of land in the Texas Crossroads Business Park. They have plans to being construction of a new fabricating facility at the Park in 2012. The CCIDC would like to extend a very warm welcome to this new business on behalf of the Board and the City of Columbus.
