As Chief of Police, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the City of Columbus. The Columbus Police Department is proud of the important role we play in making this community a better place to live.
Overall, the responsibility for the direction and focus of public safety rest with the Office of the Chief of Police. Through the
process of management and planning we are able to provide the high standard of professional services to the citizens of Columbus.
A tradition of professional, efficient, and courteous service to the community is the hallmark of the Columbus Police Department. We are committed to the philosophy of Community-Oriented Policing, Partnering, and Problem-Solving with those we serve. We will always strive to provide police service with sensitivity. We will continue to work toward our goal of enhancing the quality of life for all citizens by employing traditional police methods as well as innovative new approaches in protecting our community. We will continue to create an atmosphere of safety and security by sharing a vision for creative problem solving in cooperation with the community.
