Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the governing body of the City of Columbus, Texas will be held on

Monday, September 24, 2007 at 6:30 p.m.

 

in the Council Chambers on the second floor at City Hall, 605 Spring Street, Columbus, Texas,

at which time the following subjects will be discussed, to wit:

 

1.         Call to Order.

2.         Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation.

3.         Consent Agenda:

a.    Approval of invoices.

b.    Approval of Minutes of September 10, 2007 Regular Meeting.

c.    Approval of August Financial Statements.

5.         Discussion of City Manager’s Report including Cardinal Hill Well, Robert Wells Airport, Seal Coating, HGAC Energy Purchasing Corp, River Status, Sales Tax, TMRS Update, Sewer Plant #2 Auger, IH-10 Widening Project.

6.Discussion with Colorado County Central Appraisal District.

7.Public Hearing:  Tax Tangible Personal Property in Transit.

8.      Consideration and Action to Approve Ordinance # 73-07 to Tax Tangible Personal Property in Transit.

9.      Consideration for Approval of the Contract for Assessment and Collection Services for Year 2008-2009 between the City and Colorado County Central Appraisal District.

10.      Consideration and Action to Approve Fireworks Display Permit for Columbus ISD Homecoming.

11.      Consideration and Action to Approve By St. Anthony’s School to Close Streets for the Annual Halloween Carnival.

12.      Consideration and Action Regarding Parking at 700 Milam.

13.       Discussion of August Police Report.

14.      Executive Session: Consultation with Attorney pursuant to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernons Texas Code Annotated, in accordance with the authority contained in Chapter 551.071.

15.      Return to Open Session for the Purpose of Taking Action Relative to the Executive Session in Reference to Consultation with Attorney.
