Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the governing body of the City of Columbus, Texas will be held on

Monday, May 8,  2006 at 6:30 p.m.

in the Council Chambers on the second floor at City Hall, 605 Spring Street, Columbus, Texas,

at which time the following subjects will be discussed, to wit:

1.    Call to Order.

2.    Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation.

3.    Consent Agenda:

a.       Approval of invoices.

b.       Approval of minutes from April 24, 2006 regular meeting.

4.    Discussion of City Manager’s Report including Water Filter Update, Swimming Pool, Street Repairs, Gas Tap Experience, TMRS Report, Auction Results, Election Schedule, Police Vehicles, Water Delivery Bid Results, Texas Municipal Gas Corporation.

5.    Citizen presentations and comments.[1]

6.    Presentation of  2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

7.    Consideration and Action to Award Bid on the Water Distribution System Improvements.

8.     Discussion of Sewer Rates with Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Frnka.

9.    Discussion with City Attorney regarding the City's Manufactured Housing and Zoning Ordinances.

10. Consideration and Action to Approve Budget Amendment for $2,249 for a Library for Grant Received from the State.
