Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the governing body of the City of Columbus, Texas will be held on
Monday, April 10, 2006 at 6:30 p.m.
in the Council Chambers on the second floor at City Hall, 605 Spring Street, Columbus, Texas,
at which time the following subjects will be discussed, to wit:
Call to Order.
Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation.
Consideration and action with respect to the residential subdivision to be known as Providence Landing, a portion of which is located within the City's ETJ, such action to include, as appropriate,
(i) approval of an Interlocal Contract with Colorado County for the County to assume sole responsibility for subdivision plat approval for the project,
(ii) direction to City staff and the Planning Department to consider whether it would be proper in this case to grant variances for items such as curbs and gutters, streetlights, fire hydrants, and other City platting requirements that may be inappropriate for a rural subdivision, if the Interlocal Contract is not approved, and
(iii) such other action that Council may consider or approve with respect to the development or plat approval of the Providence Landing subdivision
Adjourn to Executive Session for the Purpose of Discussing Real Property Matter Pursuant to the Provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon’s Texas Code Annotated, in accordance with the authority contained in Chapter 551.072 to discuss Oil Pipeline.
Return to Open Session for Consideration and Aciton to Authorize City Management to Receive Bids for the Sale of the Oil Pipeline.

Consideration and action to adopt a resolution requesting an Agreement between the State of Texas and the City for the closure of the 1100 Block of Milam Street (Spur 52) between Spring Street and Walnut Street from noon to Midnight Saturday, May 20, 2006 and from 6:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday, May 21, 2006.
Consider and action to approve the closure of the entire 400 Block of Spring Street and approximately 75 ft into the 300 block of Spring St. up to entrance of Old Jail Parking Lot from 12:00 noon on Friday, May 19, 2006 until 5:00p.m; and, 1100 Block of Travis Street between Spring Street and Walnut Street; from 5:00pm Friday, May 19, 2006 to 5:00pm Sunday, May 21, 2006.
