APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
The Columbus Community and Industrial Development Corporation will allocate a portion of its funds for special project grants. A summary of the eligible uses for these funds may be described as being for the promotion and development of new or expanded business enterprises. Also included are parks, buildings, equipment, facilities, and other improvements required or suited for amateur sports; athletic, entertainment, tourist, convention and public park facilities, including stadiums ballparks, auditoriums, amphitheaters, concert halls, library/ learning centers, municipal buildings, museum facilities, parking and transportation facilities; and maintenance or operating costs associated with the above projects. Other projects not listed in this summary may also be eligible.
Applications for these funds may be picked up from Columbus City Hall at 605 Spring Street. Applications must be completed in their entirety and returned to Columbus City Hall prior to 5:00 P.M. on Monday, September 29, 2014.
All applications will be reviewed and considered at the regular October meeting of the CCIDC board. The CCIDC board administers the city’s half-cent Economic Development sales tax revenues - approved by voters in 1995 - for economic and community development.
