The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the City.  All departments, with the exception of Municipal Court, are directly under the authority of the City Manager. 

The City Manager also serves in the capacity of City Treasurer, Investment Officer, Purchasing Agent, Emergency Management Coordinator, Floodplain Administrator, Zoning Code Enforcement Officer, and Health Officer.

The City Secretary is responsible for maintaining official city records, including minutes of City Council meetings, appointments for boards and commissions, public bids, and contracts. In addition, the Secretary is responsible for conducting official City elections. The City Secretary is also the City's Finance Director, Records Management Officer and Secretary of the Zoning & Planning Commission.  

The Assistant City Secretary provides support for the City Secretary.
